Joseph Naik Vaz “Care for Creation” Lecture
Saturday, August 20, 2016
From 2 – 4 p.m.
Newman Hall, 2700 Dwight Way, Berkeley CA 94706
We invite all those who care about our planet and future generations living here to come to the first of our new series of “Care for Creation” talks and events. We are launching this series to mark the one-year Anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical, Laudato Si’.
In this encyclical with the English title On Care for Our Common Home, Pope Francis shows us how we can take care of our Planet Earth and our fellow human beings.
We have invited Rev. Dr. Thomas Massaro, S.J. Dean of the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, to speak on Laudato Si’ and what it means to our own geographical region of South Asia which includes India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.
